An Empirical Study on Inter-Organisational Network Structures for Connected Cars

This study aimed to empirically examine whether rapid changes in the technological environment affect inter-organisational relationships. In automotive industry, advantage of cohesive and vertically integrated relationships has been pointed out conventionally. The development connected cars, which can communicate bidirectionally with other systems outside car, is eliciting significant traditional products industry structure — generally associated product moving closer IT products. aim was clarify what kind network relations firms are growing industrial by creating a database actual firm behavior. analyzed using social analysis method, characteristics firms’ organisational were extracted. Besides relationships, results show that there mixture different growth firms.
